ROCK & RITA’S ‘GREAT AMERICAN PARTY’ COMING TO CIRCUS CIRCUS

11/30/2011
New Bar, Dining and Entertainment Concept Opens in June

The “Great American Party” will arrive at Circus Circus with the June opening of Rock & Rita’s, a new bar, restaurant and entertainment hot spot. Flair bartending, live music and festive signature dishes will be the focus at this 14,000 sq. ft rock-inspired venue.

“Rock & Rita’s will take Circus Circus’ visitors to a new level of interactive partying,” David Z. Tuttleman said who, along with partner Mark Green, comprise the duo of Las Vegas restaurateurs behind the project. “It’s a continuous, high-energy gathering in an atmosphere designed to unleash your inner party animal.”

At Rock & Rita’s, flair bartending will take center stage as drinks and bottles are flipped, juggled, spun, balanced and poured by some of the best professionals in the business. A style of American bartending credited to the legendary Jerry “The Professor” Thomas, who first poured flaming Scotch from a mug while mixing a Blue Blazer cocktail, flair bartending is synonymous with over-the-top showmanship. Rock & Rita’s will showcase flair competition winners from around the world at bartending stations equipped with stage controls for both impromptu and scheduled shows.

“Our bartenders are going to kick the party up a notch,” Tuttleman said. “We are actively recruiting a world-ranked champion staff committed to giving every guest a larger-than-life experience.”

Chef Alfonso Contrisciani, who shares his elite Master Chef status less than 100 other chefs in the country, brings his unique food presentations to Rock & Rita’s menu, including appetizers served atop flowing fog and spectacular-sized portions of America’s favorite party foods. The menu will also feature American classics such as burgers, country-style meatloaf and BBQ pork ribs served alongside more inventive dishes including Piña Colada Chicken and Pretzel & Pecan Crusted Catfish.

All-American décor by award-winning designer Mark Tracy of Chemical Spaces will set the mood for drinking, dining and live-band karaoke in this space. Recently named Best Designer at the 2008 HEIDI AWARDS, Tracy will integrate patriotic touches with technology to create a fun, interactive atmosphere. From the monster truck-inspired bar and custom beer-pong tables to astounding visuals, every detail will ooze a party vibe.

Rock & Rita’s will be open for breakfast, lunch , dinner and late-night dining serving reasonably priced entrees with sandwiches starting at $6 and up, dinner entrees starting at $12. Just like the great American experience, Rock & Rita’s has a menu that appeals to a broad range of partying tastes. For more information about Rock & Rita’s, visit www.RockandRitas.com.
