DISK ‘O RIDE AND 4-D SPECIAL FX THEATER


LAS VEGAS – The Adventuredome at Circus Circus has added Disk ‘O, a high-speed, spinning ride, and a 4-D Special FX Theater, featuring the film Marvin the Martian 3-D, to its growing list of rides and attractions.
Disk ‘O offers thrill-seekers an ultimate gravity-defying experience by featuring a unique seating style that positions riders on an outward-facing, motorcycle-like pedestal seat angled at 110 degrees, leaving the arms and legs free to move. Combining jaw-dropping, dual rock-spinning motion at 22 miles per hour with upbeat disco music, this roller coaster creates an exhilarating experience. An impressive 14 rotations per minute on a 100-foot track push the limit of heart-pounding rides.
The state-of-the-art, 4-D Special FX Theatre was developed by SimEx-Iwerks exclusively for The Adventuredome. Bubbles, scents and seat vibrations, as well as water squirts, air blasts and other surprises are designed to let the guests feel part of the action in the 46-seat simulation theatre. The 4-D Special FX Theater has a minimum height requirement of 33 inches.
Marvin the Martian 3-D is a fast-paced, effects-filled film that features two popular cartoon characters, Marvin the Martian and Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers. The adventure begins with a four-minute, pre-show video showcasing Marvin the Martian’s past attempts at destroying Earth.

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus is Nevada’s largest indoor theme park featuring the world’s only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, The Canyon Blaster. Enclosed under a 5-acre dome, The Adventuredome offers 25 rides and attractions and recently was named “Best Family Amusement Center” in the 2008 Las Vegas Review-Journal Readers’ Poll.
